Free live music and entertainment returns to the Old Market Square from June through to September, celebrating local talent and bringing the town centre to life.

Stokesley's free outdoor music series, Summer in the Square, is set to return to the Old Market Square this summer, bringing a vibrant programme of live performances from local musicians, singers and entertainers to the heart of the town.
Running on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from June through September 2026, the events will take place from 11am to 3pm at the popular performance area near in the heart of Stokesley.

A highlight of this year's programme will be a special Morris Day of Dance on Saturday 13 June 2026, which will open the series with a colourful celebration of traditional folk dance.
Community Support and Funding
Summer in the Square 2026 is supported by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority and its Mayor, David Skaith. This funding recognises the important role that community events play in supporting local economies, driving footfall to town centres, and celebrating the wealth of talent found across the region.
