Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Funding - let us know where you think the money should be spent.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Funding – is a charge which local authorities in England and Wales can charge on most types of new development in their area. Charges are based on the size and type of development proposed. Further information is available through the Hambleton District Council (HDC) website www.hambleton.gov.uk

As you know there is a new development at Tanton Fields and this will be subject to the CIL payment. Stokesley Town Council will be allocated 15% of the funds received by HDC that we can spend to improve, maintain or replace infrastructure in Stokesley. It is anticipated that we will receive in the region of £54k this financial year and we would welcome your comments on the proposal to spend these funds on one or more of the following schemes:

Please place in order of priority 1 (been the highest) to 4 (been the lowest)

Refurbishment of the Public Toilets

Contribution towards proposed improvement works along the riverside

New Christmas Lights for the Town

CCTV for North Road Play Park

Your opinion is important, and we would welcome your response which can be submitted by e-mail to stokesleytc@gmail.com or by posting to Freepost STOKESLEY TOWN COUNCIL.
